Haha…Itchyfingers know we are super late again…But was really busy with “home affairs” and also cos we took too many photos hence it is always an uphill task trying to decide which pictures to use… :p This was the second night of the Singapore Night Festival held last month… More to come in a second installment…:p

At the Singapore Management University Green, audience looked in awe as scene reminiscent of the acclaimed Kung Fu movie, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon’s bamboo fighting unfolded…

Sounds so funny in dubbed English, couldn’t find the original Chinese version…Had a good laugh though… 😀

Only this time, instead of two martial arts experts flirting around the bamboo forest, we had two ang mo dancers hung on wire, dancing, somersaulting and running horizontally on a huge foil silvered curtain….

Titled Corredoras, it’s Spanish for “Runners”

Colourful lights thrown onto the canvas created magical effects…

It was a physically demanding act, but the dancers made it look so effortless.
Seemed to be enjoying themselves too!

Then over at Armenian Street, we were treated with another running feat…

Suspended from a crane, a female dancer danced to the beat of exotic music…
But as it was the Lunar Ghost Month, she looked so much like a legless ghost
with long hair in long white robe…hahah…

Frankly speaking, her performance seemed so much easier compared to the
two running on curtain. Her dance moves were simple and the same throughout,
it looked a bit like running in the air…Then the blower next to her
feet had to
send paper confetti flying all over and littering the street…

Street littered with these small strips of papers that really looked like those
that people threw on the street during the Ghost Month…This performance
was quite a disappointment and letdown considered the amount of manpower
needed and the inconvenience to drivers during the road closure period…
